Students of Tagore school took the third place in the RoboCup German Open 2008 and in the World championship in Suzhou in China
RoboCup is an international Initiative to encourage research on artificial intelligence and autonomous mobile robots. RoboCupJunior, in which teamwork and fun are main goals, has been created especially for students. The students use self-constructed robots or a construction set. After the successful qualification of our school team, RSC Motor Marzahn, trained by our IT teacher, Mr. Beyer, they took part in the German Open. In total, 98 German and 18 teams from Italy, Austria and Spain participated. Our team achieved the third place in RoboSoccer 2vs2. Sadly our team was not qualified for the championship in China, but luckily one of the qualified teams canceled their participation, therefore our team was able to take their place and compete with the best teams from all over the world. In July 2008, NicolasRother, Felix Koschmieder, Tim Wandtke, Carolin Wandtke and Herr Beyer showed their skills and won the third place in the championships in China. More information FB Informatik
